How it works
- 1. Send photos or book a survey. Five photos are often enough for a like-for-like swap (see below). Otherwise we call out to look.
- 2. Fixed price in writing. One price, including VAT, with what is and is not included.
- 3. Usually fitted in 3 to 5 working days. Counted from the day you accept the fixed price, for most like-for-like swaps.
- 4. One day, start to finish. Usually an early start, with the heating back on the same evening.
- 5. Paperwork and handover. Declaration of Conformance for gas, warranty registered, controls explained, and a reminder set for your free first service.
The five photos that let us price a swap without a visit
- The whole boiler, front on, with the cover on.
- The data plate (usually under the front cover, or on the side).
- Where the flue comes out — inside and outside.
- The pipework underneath the boiler.
- The hot press — cylinder or not — and the thermostat on the wall.

Combi, system or regular?
A combi heats water on demand and suits smaller homes with one bathroom. A system boiler with a cylinder suits homes where two showers run at once. A regular (heat-only) boiler with a tank in the attic is common in older Cork houses. Changing type costs more than a straight swap, and is only worth it when it fixes a real problem — we will tell you which.
Gas or oil to heat pump?
If you are replacing an oil boiler, it is worth pricing a heat pump at the same time. The SEAI grant for a heat pump is substantial, there is currently no SEAI grant for a like-for-like oil or gas boiler, and the running costs can be lower in a well-insulated house. See Heat Pumps and SEAI Grants.

Why we clean the system before fitting a new boiler.
Old systems carry sludge and magnetite that will block the heat exchanger of a modern boiler. Cleaning the system and fitting a filter is not an extra — it is part of fitting the boiler properly.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take?
A like-for-like swap is usually one day. A change of boiler type or position takes longer, and we tell you how long when we give you the price. Most swaps are fitted within 3 to 5 working days of the price being accepted.
Can you quote without visiting?
Often, yes, for a like-for-like swap. Send the five photos listed above through the booking form or on WhatsApp. If anything is unclear we call out before giving the fixed price.
Is the first service really free?
Yes. Every boiler we fit includes its first annual service, a year after it goes in. We remind you when it is due.
Do you offer finance?
Not directly — consumer credit in Ireland has to come from a provider authorised by the Central Bank. We can agree a staged payment for larger jobs; ask when you get the price.
Is there a grant for a new boiler?
Not for a straight gas or oil boiler swap, as SEAI grants stand in October 2026. There is a grant for heating controls in older homes, and a much larger one for heat pumps.
Do you take away the old boiler?
Yes, and it is disposed of properly.
