How often should an oil boiler be serviced?
Once a year. An oil boiler that misses a service soots up and burns more fuel for the same heat.
Is there a grant for a new oil boiler?
Not for a like-for-like oil boiler. If you replace an oil boiler with a heat pump, SEAI support can reach €14,500 for a house, including €2,000 boiler scrappage support from 6 October 2026.
Do you service makes you did not fit?
Yes — Firebird, Grant, Warmflow and most other oil boilers in Cork homes.
