Before you call
- Check the boiler display for a fault code and write it down.
- Check the pressure gauge — most sealed systems want 1 to 1.5 bar when cold.
- Check the thermostat and timer have power and are calling for heat.
- On oil, check there is oil in the tank.
- Send us a photo of the display and the data plate on the boiler. It often means we arrive with the right part.
Repair or replace?
If the boiler is more than about 12 to 15 years old, parts are getting scarce, or the repair costs a large share of a new boiler, we will say so — with both prices side by side. If it is worth repairing, we repair it.
Why it matters
If you smell gas, act immediately.
Turn off the gas at the meter if it is safe to do so, open the windows, do not use switches, flames or phones inside, then leave the house and ring the Gas Networks Ireland 24-hour emergency line from outside on 1800 20 50 50. Then call us.

Do you charge for a call-out if you cannot fix it?
Yes. The call-out and first hour cover the diagnosis. If the fix needs a part, we give you the price for the part and the return visit before we order it.
Can you repair any make?
We work on all the common gas and oil boiler makes sold in Ireland. For a very old or rare boiler we will tell you up front if parts are a problem.
