Frequently asked questions
Who can connect a gas hob or cooker in Ireland?
Only a Registered Gas Installer (RGI). The installer tests the installation and issues a Declaration of Conformance when the job is done. Christy is an RGI and certifies every gas job.
When should a kitchen fitter or builder bring you in?
At first fix, before walls and floors are closed. Running gas pipework then is cheaper and tidier than chasing it in afterwards.
Can you remove an old gas fire or cooker?
Yes. We disconnect it, cap off the supply safely, test the installation and give you the paperwork.
